Open US Bank Account – Offshore Accounts

An offshore bank account is a corporate bank account that is formed outside of the United States within a recognised international jurisdiction. These are generally used if you are not trading in the US, however if you plan to trade in the US an Onshore account would be more appropriate.

 

US Bank Account For Non Residents

How Do I Proceed With Opening A Bank Account?

In order to open USA bank account, you must have supply:

  • A phone number and address in the state where the bank account is registered (we can supply this)
  • A reference letter from your personal bank or solicitor
  • A letter from your company stating the nature of your business
  • A certified copy of each directors/shareholders passport
  • Two utility bills less than three months old

In order to open US bank account, the banks will carry out checks to ensure that your company is a suitable entity with which to do business with.

Aside from these corporate requirements, there are a number requirements which you will need to submit in making your application to the bank, these typically include providing identification.
